These turned out delightfully! They rose and browned nicely, had good texture and flavor. I used my stand mixer to make the dough and then kneaded by hand for a few minutes. My only complaint is that they were a little too small, more like an over sized dinner roll. I made 8 buns instead of the 9 as instructed. Next time, I will simply make 4 rolls. I wanted them to make Derf's Tuna Rolls for Two. This is actually a very good recipe for small families. Chef Shapeweaver, thank you for your recipe! 11/17/15 - I wanted to update my review. We had these tonight with Derf's tuna salad. I had enough tuna mix to stuff 4 of these buns; and one each was quite satisfying. Do give this recipe a try, you won't be disappointed!

Loved it!!! One of the best rolls I ever had...the combination of scallions (that's what I used instead of chives),garlic powder and sugar was great!
