Garlic Haricots Verts Almondine

"This is a traditional Thanksgiving recipe in our house. It is a healthier alternative to green bean casserole. You can use regular green beans, but they will need to steam for an extra 2-3 minutes."

  • Place the oil and margarine in a skillet over medium-low heat (low heat on a gas range) until melted.
  • Add the haricots verts, stir, and cover for 3 minutes. Add the sliced garlic, stir, and saute for 3 more minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, stir, and saute for the final 3 minutes.

  1. This was yummy - much lighter than the traditional green bean casserole. I used minced garlic instead of sliced, but that was the only change. My DH and DS loved this - will definitely make again!
