Simply easy quick recipe. Excellent served with Adobo Pork & Green Mango, Tomatoe Salad (under separate post here on Zaar). You can also clean the fridge - add left over chopped veggies. It's as good as your imagination.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 head garlic, peeled and finely crushed (not clove)
- 4 cups cooked rice, refrigerated overnight
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- Place cooked refrigerated rice in a wide container, separate the grains. In a non stick frypan heat the oil and saute the garlic when it is brown add rice until it is heated through. If you are adding left over veggies add now, stir & mix with the rice Add soy,& season with salt (watch, the soy will give a salty flavor so taste before adding any, you may not want any extra salt) and cook for 3 minutes longer.
While I didn't put in as much garlic as called for, we still enjoyed this fried rice immensely. I did add some parsley to the garlic while sauteeing but that is because I like parsley so much. Thanks.
Very nice recipe. I love garlic so I used all the garlic called for in the recipe. Yum yum! I added in some chopped carrots, red bell peppers and celery leaves in there, served it fried chicken and a green salad. Yum yum, looking forward to the leftovers already. Thanks for sharing!
This is very good. My husband is from the Philippines and loves the garlic fried rice from Max's of Manilla and I made this minus the soy sauce, since Max's rice isn't brown. He likes his fried rice with just oil, salt, and garlic. For myself, I would have added some shrimp, green onions, eggs, and a bit less garlic.
