Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

"I found this recipe on SparkRecipes.com and loved it! I didn't see it on here so decided to share it...it's a lower calorie, quick and easy weeknight recipe that we think tastes delicious! I used frozen chicken tenderloins in place of the breasts and it worked out fine!"

  1. Just made this and it was delicious. I adjusted it for just one chicken breast and it was still yummy. Great stove top recipe :)

  2. Very nice recipe. I too used 3 cloves of garlic, and next time I will make extra sauce. I snipped some chives when I served it-great weeknight dish when you need something fast! Thanks for posting!

  3. Gross. No flavor whatsoever other than on the top where you put the sugar/garlic mixture. I scraped off the mixture and gave the chicken to the dog. Completely bland....

  4. Very quick and pretty easy. Unfortunately, this one doesn't scale up very well in my experience. It's best to have a pan that can handle all of the chicken at one time. Other than that, it was beyond awesome. A nice blend of flavors that was just fantastic. I can't wait to make this again!

  5. Super quick & easy! We really enjoyed this recipe. I had chicken breasts that were on the thick side, so I covered the pan & let them cook slowly on a medium heat. Then uncovered for the brown sugar (I used dark brown) & turned up the heat a bit to caramelize it. I used extra garlic, probably 3 cloves worth & I didn't think this was too sweet at all. I actually think I would add some extra brown sugar next time. But that's just a personal preference. The chicken served up very juicy & moist. I think this is an excellent weeknight recipe. Thanks for sharing, Troop Angel! Made & enjoyed for your Fall 2009-Week 6 Football Pool win! :)
