This was my attempt to copy the store bought herb spread...I've always use herbs straight from my garden and this seems to be my most requested appetizer from family and friends.
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 2 garlic cloves (or more to taste)
- 3 tablespoons fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 20 shelled pistachios
- 1 pinch salt

- Place all ingredients in food processor and process until it has reached desired consistency. I usually place this in a bowl lined with plastic wrap and chill for at least a couple or hours (or overnight which gives all the flavors a chance to blend). Place this on a tray with your favorite crackers or bread -- looks lovely with some fresh herbs for garnish.
