This stuff WORKS! Every time I opened my fridge there was a horrible smell, I couldn't quite place it. I've got a baby on the way so I wanted to only use "safe" cleaners, ones without lots of pesticides and yucky chemicals. I found this recipe and so I cleaned out my fridge and used this - worked like a charm on all those little spills that sneak up on you. I put my mixture into a spray bottle and used paper towels. Now I open my fridge and it smells clean! :) hehe. Thanks, Charishma - this is a keeper.
This worked really well. I also used 2Bleu's idea and added some vanilla extract to the mix. Thanks Charishma Ramchandani for a nice simple keeper. Made for Cookbook tag.
Hi- Thanks so much for sharing! I had a container accidently spill in the bottom of my fridge and did not find it for a month... So I had a scary mess on my hands. This "recipe" really helped me to fix the problem! Thanks so much- I will use this again soon :)
Great recipe! I hadn't cleaned my fridge in ages and tackled it today... I mixed this up in a spray bottle as Megs suggested and now my fridge is sparkling clean! On another note, it works great for cleaning/shining your kitchen floor too (used the leftovers for that)
This is how we clean our fridge, freezer, and also our outdoor coolers. It works great. The only thing we do different is to add a tsp or so of vanilla extract, it helps to remove odors. Be sure and use warm water. :)
Wow this is great stuff. A container of red juice got knocked over in my fridge and of course it was on the top shelf and I had a red sticky mess everywhere. Your "recipe" did the trick. Thank you Charishma !
Worked like a charm! I did add 1 Tbs of baking powder and a couple drops of lemon oil for scent. I will certainly use this again. Thanks so much.
Wonderful. It smells great and it works. Thanks for posting :) Made for cookbook tag game
Everybody who knows me knows I'm a bit of a fanatic about not using toxic cleaners around food. This gets the job done nicely. I'm not sure why the "do not drink" admonition, though; it won't hurt you if you do drink it (I don't know why you'd want to). Thanks for posting!
