These tasted good and were so easy to make. We brought them to a family gathering and people were asking for the recipe:)

I just made these tonight and used a homemade cake mix "Homemade Yellow Cake Mix (Subtitute 18.25oz Betty Crocker Box)" from second2none. It worked beautifully. I also made the shortening based frosting from a different recipe and i made a mistake a didn't add enough powdered sugar but the cookie itself is great and the frosting too, just a bit more sweet.

My fiance's FAVORITE cookies! We use a cookie scoop and cook for 8 minutes. We also mix brands and use Betty Crocker rainbow chip frosting. They are delicious without frosting too. 2 boxes of cake mix 1 tub of frosting is what we use.

My youngest daugther and I made these one afternoon and while they were fun & easy to make we all thought they were too sweet for our liking. It is a very cakey & sweet cookie.

I made this recipe to try and replicate the soft frosted sugar cookies at the latte stands in Seattle. They are a lot like Lofthouse cookies but they are called "Uncle Seth's". I used a white cake mix and added Cardamom & Cinnamon to the batter. it turned them into a more grown up cookie. I also used a store bought Cream Cheese Frosting and added a bit of red coloring to get the pink color. I also made them with buttercream frosting, equally good. They are better the next day after being stored in an airtight plastic container. My family absolutely went crazy for them. My son even posted about them on FB. I will be trying a few other recipes but this one is an easy go to!

These were quite yummy! I didn`t frost them, but I`m sure they`d be even better with frosting!

These are so good! I made them with the kids with very little mess. I think they are better than the frosted cookies at the store!!

I just made these and can't stop eating them! The texture is fantastic and they taste so good! They are so simple and fast to make - I was done and cleaned up in less than a half hour. This is such a great recipe to have on hand!

I agree that these were very easy and inexpensive to make. I thought these were so-so, my husband said he'd give them 3.5 stars, but my 2 year old loved them and ate 3 of them while she was supposed to be helping me frost them and put sprinkles on ;-). They weren't quite as fluffy as the bakery/grocery store kind that I was hoping to imitate. I used french vanilla cake mix, found that 7 minutes was a good amount of time in the oven, and got exactly 36 out of the batch. Frosted them with "Lofthouse Frosting" #271501. Thanks for posting...I'll be sure to try it again and experiment with different flavors of cake mix.

These are a nice, quick cookie and they use my favorite cake mix!! They stay soft and chewy too. A bit on the super-sweet side for me, but we all enjoyed them and will make again. Thanks for posting.

I love how easy these are! The are fantastic. I like using the French Vanilla Mix, and I have my own collection of sprinkles and fancy decorating supplies, so I never buy the frosting with sprinkles. I have also made these with the Cherry Chip Mix, and they were great for valentines's day. I love how soft they bake up and easy to decorate. Nice recipe! ;)

I make these all the time. I like the slightly lemony taste they have. I don't use frosting. I shape the dough into the balls and then press them with a glass with sugar on the bottom. Very good.

I made these for the 4th of July and used red, white and blue sprinkles. I baked them for nearly 12 minutes but I just realized that my oven temp was only 350*. I think it would be a nice addition to add some almond extract to the batter. Thanks! KCShell

Very easy and Very good....to make them more like the store-bakery kind, I will try it with a white cake mix instead. Thanks for a yummy treat!***I've just tried them with white cake mix and they taste like they're from a bakery! I also made them with Devil's food mix and chocolate frosting - sinful!

Mine looked just like the photo - yea! We all loved these easy cookies. I realized that some of my eggs were cracked, so I had only one egg to use. Luckily, I had some dried egg whites so I mixed up two (1/4 cup water, 4 tsps. dried egg white). This worked great! Thanks Chris from Kansas. Roxygirl

I love these cookies and everywhere I take them they are a big hit! I tend to take them places often because they are so fast and easy to make. They are so sweet, I never frost them. I've used a variety of cake flavors and they all turn out great!

I didn't frost mine, and they were still eaten quickly at a party. The cookie is sweet and light. Start to finish, I had an entire batch of cookies done in under half an hour. I'll definitely be making these again-- thanks for sharing such a quick and easy recipe!
