  1. 1.) Fry the onions until golden; add the garlic and cook until soft.
  2. 2.) Add the diced tomato, fava beans, and spices. Juice the lemon into the frying pan and cook through until hot.
  3. 3.) Serve with warm pita.

This is a good side dish! I do not serve with pita bread but toasted french bread. Fava beans are delicious and with combination of spices excellent. Sometimes I add a dash of chili pepper also. I use a 15 oz can of fava beans and vine ripened tomato. Thanks for posting!
