Ingredients Nutrition


  1. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa and walnuts; add to the creamed mixture.
  4. Spread into a greased 13-inch x 9-inch x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  5. Combine condensed milk and coconut; carefully spread over the hot chocolate layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until coconut is lightly browned.
  6. Combine icing ingredients until smooth.
  7. Spread icing over warm bars.
  8. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before cutting.

Sooo good and very rich. This would be nice enough for a fancy dinner and easy enough for family weeknights!

Made these up to take to a potluck here in the mobile home park, & they were [in my humble opinion!] the hit of the dessert table! People thought they were sooo small at first, but their richness makes up for size! Definitely a keeper recipe, & something I want to add to 'bars cookbook!' Thanks for the recipe!

wow these are rich! made as stated only I increased the vanilla to 2 teaspoons, my sweet tooth DS and finance loved them! thanks for sharing Lainey!...Kitten:)
