I was going to publish this recipe but I see you had beat me to it..lol. My son entered this into the county fair and he won first place. The only thing different with my recipe is instead of putting pecans on at the end, we put 2 Tbsp of chopped peanuts. Yummy cookie!!

Wow what an incredible cookie. I made these twice. The first time I read the instructions wrong and baked the fudge part with the cookie. The kids loved them. Then when I realized my mistake, I cooked them according to the instructions. Everyone agreed that baking as written is best. These treats have a nice crispy cookie outer shell with a wonderful fudgy filling in the center. They are easy to make, but if you are looking for a show stopper cookie, this is it. Thanks for the recipe.

I discovered these three years ago and have been making them every year during the holidays since. I'll never forget my grandmother's response after she first bit into one: "Where have you been all my life?!" They are rich... very rich and incredibly delicious.

I made these for my peanut butter-loving DS and he loved them, for the filling I didn't have any milk chocolate chips so I used 2 cups semi-sweet and it worked well, thanks for a great treat MRSJSPANTS!
