Fudge Pecan Pie

I chose this recipe for Pick a Chef '06 and I know it is one I will be preparing often; especially during the holiday season. I love the combination of pecan pie and chocolate and this recipe blended those flavors well. Thanks, Bev, for posting a wonderful recipe.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Stir corn syrup and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add chocolate and butter and stir until melted and mixture is smooth.
  5. Cool slightly.
  6. Whisk in eggs, vanilla and salt.
  7. Stir in pecans.
  8. Pour filling into crust.
  9. Bake until filling is set, about 40 minutes.
  10. Cool slightly.
  11. Serve warm or at room temperature.
