I eat this for breakfast and I feel like I'm eating a dessert!! It's so healthy and delish. I like to have this with a side of toast or english muffin!!
- 1⁄2 cup plain yogurt
- 1⁄2 cup cottage cheese
- 1⁄2 cup chopped fruit, any type (bananas & apples are good!)
- honey, to desired sweetness
- Mix all ingredients together.
The honey goes really well with these flavors. I once tried to substitute maple syrup and was very disappointed. I'd stick with the honey on this one!
I did two versions of this recipe, both of which turned out really well. The first was a mix of bananas and raisins, and the second was a grated Granny Smith apple. Since I like all three ingredients, I find that all of them worked for this recipe.
I really wasn't in the mood for cottage cheese(wanted something full of carbs!) but I wanted to eat a healthy breakfast. I used a banana, frozen blueberries and topped with some toasted almonds. This was DELISH, just like you said! I was really satisfied and glad that I'd tried it. Thanks Japanese Delight, for posting. Roxygirl
