Fruited cake with peach pie filling, and chopped walnuts.

First of all, I only had one can of peach pie filling so I mixed the peach with a can of strawberry pie filling. Then, the cake mix was quite dry so I added 1/4 cup more butter. To me it was too sweet. I have made this type of dessert before, but I baked it in the oven, which I prefer. Made for PRMR 3013

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 (21 ounce) cans peach pie filling
  • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 12 cup butter, melted
  • 13 cup chopped walnuts


  1. Spray interior of slow cooker with non stick cooking spray.
  2. Place pie filling in slow cooker.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine dry cake mix, and butter, and spoon over filling.
  4. Drop walnuts on top.
  5. Cover, and cook on low 3-5 hours or until a toothpick inserted in center of topping comes out clean.
