Oh my goodness this biscotti is DIVINE! To die for with a cup of coffee. I omitted the fruits and they were still fabulous, though I did have to bake them about ten minutes longer to acheive the perfect crispiness. Thank you so much!
AMAZING! i used dates and walnuts. i also used no butter. instead i used some mashed bananas and applesauce. i also only used egg whites and not as much brown sugar they stll came out great and can eat them guilt free! i left them a little chewy because i like them better that way
I used pecans and dried cranberries. This was really good!
As you know toni I love biscotti and these are wonderful. They are rich with sweet spices, dry fruit and nuts (I used apricots, raisins and pecans). I cut the fat some by putting 1/8 cup of heart healthy margarine in a 1/4 cup and filling it the rest of the way with unsweetened applesauce. I had to add another 1 1/2 tbsp of flour to compensate for the liquid in the applesauce. Love that they are made with whole wheat. This recipe is going into my Christmas book but it will be a treat all year round. I made half the recipe and got 25 cookies cookies that are a softer biscotti that normal. These sliced with no crumbling or breaking. An A-1 recipe.
This is quite nice. I love that it has WW flour in it. Kinda gives it an extra nutty taste. I only had dates....I love dates. :) Thanks Toni....again.
Toni, this is a wonderful recipe for biscotti, I make biscotti on a regular basis and have tryed many in the past, this one ranks high on my list of favorites, I am going to make these again soon and also for the upcoming holidays, great recipe, thanks hon!...Kitten:)
FANTASTIC!!! i had about given up on using whole wheat in my cookies, but these turned out sooooo tasty. I'm thrilled!!! i made a few subs: did not use the nuts and subed choc chips for dried fruit since i didnt have any on hand. nice healthy choc fix. next time i will def try with dried apricots, it would be delicious. THanks!!
