A lovely and tasty dish for appetizer, pot luck, banquet table or even dessert. Prep time does not include 2 hours marinating time.

WOW! This is FANTASTIC! Thanks for including it in the breakfast catagory; I was searching for new alternatives to make for a Halloween breakfast meeting at work and came across this recipe. I could only find brie in one pound wedges, so I made two and doubled the fruit. I substituted regular raisins for golden raisins as that is what I had on hand. I mixed up the fruit and apple juice the night before, added some lemon juice to keep the apples and pears from discoloring, and marinated the fruit mixture overnight. The next morning, I popped the brie in the oven while I dressed for work. After removing it from the oven, I wrapped it in foil, and it stayed warm until I served it with crackers about 45 minutes later. I got rave reviews and many requests for the recipe! With the brie, I served Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffins, another GREAT 'Zaar recipe! The Fruited Brie would also make a wonderful appetizer or dessert.

  1. Combine fruit and apple juice in large bowl and allow to marinate for at least 2 hours in refrigerator.
  2. Slice brie in half horizontally.
  3. Place one layer of brie in baking dish and cover with half of the fruit mixture.
  4. Place second layer of brie on top of fruit and cover with remaining fruit mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Bake, uncovered, in oven at 350 degrees approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Serve with cocktail bread, crackers, baguette, etc.
