Blend up these fruity beverages to satisfy after school cravings.
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice
- 1⁄2 cup applesauce
- 1 small ripe banana, halved
- 1⁄2 cup frozen raspberries
- 7 -10 ice cubes
- in a blender, combine all ingredients; cover and process until smooth. pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.
Very yummy! I was looking for a smoothie that did not have yogurt or vanilla ice cream in it- the applesauce makes a perfect substitution for those ingredients. I think I'll be using it more often. Thanks a lot.
This smoothie was great, only I left out the frozen raspberries and applesauce. I used different fruits instead of frozen raspberries.And I found out that it is great with toast!
Great cooling tasty lunch in this hot hot weather!!It's 36C here today! I didn't have any raspberries but did have frozen blueberries, also did not have any ice cubes so doubled the amount of frozen berries. Really like the mix of banana, applesauce and berries. The orange jucice added a nice touch too. Will be making this one again, thanks for posting.
