My son and I enjoyed this for a nice refreshing breakfast on a warm and humid day.

Apart from omitting the ice - which I never include in smoothies - I made this exactly to the recipe using a mix of frozen raspberries and blackberries. Wonderfully creamy and a great blend of flavours. We loved the tartness but those with a sweeter tooth may like to add some honey. This is a smoothie I shall be making often for in-the-car breakfasts. Thank you so much for this recipe, Sydney. Made for PRMR.

YUM! This was so good, I drank it for breakfast! I used fresh banana, frozen strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, and young coconut milk. I also used almond milk instead of soy milk. Left out the ice. Thanks Mike for a great tasting beverage!!!

What a wonderful combination of ingredients. I used frozen berries and a fresh banana with unsweetened coconut milk. I added the remaining listed ingredients, but did not add ice. It smooth, not overly sweet, and a really nice change. I will be making this again.

Ok... seem that liking this recipe depends entirely on how much you like coconut... I used fresh raspberries, a tiny drop of almond flavouring instead of the almond butter(that isn't to be found where I live), omitted the ice (personal preference) and used Make Your Own Coconut Milk for the coconut milk. DH loves coconut and I like it less so probably predicably he liked this more than I did. I assumed that the fresh fruit, vanilla in the soy milk and the almond would deminish the coconut flavour considerably, but it didn't enough to please my tastebuds. DH however said that he found it was quite nice because he had been worried that it would be too fruity and too sweet, and he thought that the coconut balanced it out nicely. Please see my rating system: DH rated this 4 stars and I gave it 3, but personal preference is everything and when this happens I alwasy err on the upper end of the vote. Thus, this is a recipe that I can serve to people that I know like coconut a lot and not to ones like me who care for it less. It's always good to try new things and this was a tasty drink, just a tad too coconutty for me. DH however says 4 stars and Thank you :)
