I had no Cointrau or triple sec so I used Gran Marinier. This is a delicate and lovely drink. Probably better without salted rims.

I probably had more than I should have! Need I say more?

Very refreshing after a hard days work in the sun. We doubled the watermelon and added 6 tsp sugar to sweeten the recipe. Everything else we left the same as the recipe. We did not experience any seperation as mentioned by another reviewer. Awesome recipe!

This is SO GOOD!!! My husband and I are enjoying them right now! I added a little splenda and used sweet watermelon. It does separate, but it doesn't bother us, it tastes great! Thanks!

Brought this to a girls planning meeting. HUGE HIT!!!! I am going to try to come up with a way to freeze the watermelon once it is pureed to see if I can have these in the winter, when I am missing those summer nights. Great recipe. Loved it.

I was a little disappointed in my results. I followed the instructions exactly, using Triple Sec. The drink tended to separate into two layers, liquids on bottom and fluffy watermelon foam floating on top. I never got a nice emulsified drink. I did have a real sweet, ripe watermelon, but never really got that flavor with the drink because of the separation of layers. I kept trying to stir it together with my straw, but to no avail. A wonderful "buzzy" experiment none-the-less. Thanks for the fun, Bergy!

I haven't tried this recipe yet, but I make these too and in response to the watermelon being week, a really good sweet watermelon is the only way to go with these otherwise they can be somewhat bland.

This is great, I used only about 4 ounces tequila which was plenty for us. Very refreshing and tasty!

I just happened to have frozen watermelon juice that was spiked with fresh mint leaves. I blended the watermelon and mint then strained to remove the pulp. I used Grand Marnier Liqueur for the Cointreau. Thanks for the buzz!

This is the best way to use up a lot of watermelon! Unfortunately, watermelon doesn't have the strongest flavor, and the lime seemed to overpower it easily. We added sugar as recommended previously.

Dh loved this! I made a combo of sugar and salt for the rims of the glasses (he likes salt on his watermelon), and he said that made it perfect. Thanks for posting.

Wow..this drink would take you Margaritaville if you had too many! What a fun, refreshing drink. I loved using the frozen watermelon..my watermelon needed a little sweetening. So I added a bit of sugar to my drink. Thanks for sharing Bergy. OLE!

Bergy you dog you! Made this at our last Bar-B-Que. I drank more of it than anyone else. Needless to say I had the best time! Didn't ever even think of freezing watermelon. I used Triple Sec (but wished I would have used Cointreau) and a white tequila. But I think the dark tequila would even be better. Will make again with the changes. Can't wait, care to join me?

AWESOME! I can't ever use a whole watermelon. Now I can freeze the rest-- and put it to very good use. Thanks so much.
