The secret of lovely fresh looking berries is brown sugar, they stay real red. Stock up this summer when berrie are cheap and inexpensive. Use on shortcakes, ice cream, or whatever!


  1. Mix sugar and strawberries.
  2. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Put in cartons and freeze.
