A delicious smoothie that's almost like a shake! I use my Splenda and my "Magic Bullet" blender to make these individually. For frozen bananas simply peel ripe bananas, break into chunks and freeze in a freezer bag. Yummy!
- 4 -5 frozen strawberries
- 1⁄2 banana, frozen
- 1⁄4 cup Splenda granular
- 1 cup fat-free half-and-half
- 3 -4 drops vanilla (optional)
- Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
I was thinking I'd like a smoothie this morning and so went off in search of a recipe that used the ingredients I had on hand. This worked perfectly. While it turned a pretty pink color, I couldn't really taste the strawberry at all. I was concerned that there would be too much splenda, but the amount was right on. I did use the optional vanilla, and I really liked the creaminess from the fat free half and half. My daughter and I split this and it worked out well. Thanks for a yummy start to my day!
