I tried this with Sunkist orange soda and, as I hoped, it was Creamsicle-y. This recipe is great already, but I'm going to take the advice of other reviewers and add in some fruit next time. Thanks, Diggy.

I have been making this recipe for several years & it is always a hit. I have used cream soda & 1 1/2 cups finely chopped fresh peaches, and strawberry soda with frozen strawberries with great results. You are only limited by your imagination with this one. EAsy,Easy and it avoids the uncooked eggs problem.

This is awesome with BIG RED soda, we also dump in a 10 ounce package of frozen strawberries that we've zipped through the blender!!

We make this every 4th of July! But I use one can of condense milk and one 2 liter of orange soda. One word of caution... my ice cream maker never stopped, but it did slow down consideribly. Try different fruit flavored sodas. Enjoy!
