I just recently ate some of this and WOW. I didn't make it myself but the person who made it used cherry pie filling and pineapple only...no mandarin or nuts. They put them in a silicon muffin tin for portion size and to prevent from having to cut it. I loved it!

I made this the other day, and have to say it is delicious. My mom used to make a frozen fruit salad in the 50's and 60's, and this is every bit as good, and much easier. Make sure that you freeze it at least overnight, as it takes awhile to freeze. My new fav. frozen salad. Will be great for Easter with the ham. birdsnest

Very good. I made up this recipe and put it into the freezer. I pulled it out when I needed a dessert. That was great not to have to worry about what to serve. It is light and has a wonderful flavor (I used cherry pie filling)It was loved by all. Thank-you for this wonderful recipe.

I made this dessert for company and I was so disappointed . The dessert texture was very strange and hard. I guess I was expecting a more smooth texture.

Excellent recipe and great to have in the freezer. I used peach pie filling and pecans. I feel it needs a little more than 15 minutes before eating -- 15 minutes to slice it is great but I think another 10 minutes before eating. This is one recipe I will certainly make again. It's nice and light. I think it is a dessert.

Everyone loved this recipe which I served as a dessert. Got raves from all who indulged in this lush tasting dessert. Super easy to make and a great make ahead to have in the freezer. I used pecans and used 2 cups of whipped topping. Right up there with cheese cake! There are a couple going into the freezer for the holiday season.

Very good salad! Very easy to put together. DH was never enthusiastic about frozen salads until this recipe. I used the peach pie filling and pecans. Next time I'll try it with cherry pie filling, as I think the tartness would be a good contrast.
