  1. Pour all the ingredients into a 3 qt plastic container; beat with a wire whisk till well blended.
  2. Cover and freeze for at least 24 hrs, till slushy. Serve in margarita or cocktail glasses.

I messed this up a little because I did not look carefully at the instructions until right before my party, so I assumed it was a blender recipe, not a freezer recipe. It was no big deal, though. I just used ice cubes instead of water, and made 1/2 at a time (the whole recipe would not fit in the average blender). Everybody loved the taste, so I might try doing it again the "right way" soon.

We had these with Christmas lunch - what a wonderful drink! I added more fresh lime juice than required which made them tart enough for our taste buds. Will certainly be making these again. Thanks, Shirl for a great recipe.
