      These are fabulous. I didn't have any nutmeg, but otherwise, I followed the recipe. I didn't use the frosting because they were just so good as is.

      These cookies are SO delicious. I highly recommend making them as written! The spices are proportioned perfectly. The second time I made them I used slightly less lemon juice in the frosting and prefered them that way, especially when kids are getting into the cookie jar! My cookies looked exactly like the picture and if this picture doesn't make you hungry for a nice, soft, not too overly spiced cookie, then nothing will! These are a perfect bake sale or for a cookie exchange. Thanks for sharing!
