Crazy simple & delicious - I love the zip of sumac I get with each bite of egg! Made for Ramadan Tag 8/09. I made these tonight (3/23/12) to top my polenta/sauteed spinach/sumac egg layered dinner creation. yum!

I've used sumac before, so knew the flavor. I've never had it on eggs though, so I was a bit timid in the sprinkling....loved it. I did eat this with fruit and toast, and ever since I was a kid, I've drug my toast through my egg....just delicious! Thanks for a delicious breakfast today! Made for ZWT.

I lightly sprinkled my eggs with the sumac since I am fairly new to the flavor. I did like it, but think it would be easy to overdo the flavor. My eggs did take on a slight violet tinge while sitting so sprinkle at the last minute. Made for ZWT7.

The sumac gives plain old fried eggs serious personality. This was just plain delicious. I am going to inions and tomatoes along side of the eggs next time. That will be fantastic, I'm sure. Thanx!

I fried 2 eggs in Ghee and then topped with 1/4 teaspoon of the sumac. Which was more then enough. I can`t imagine using 1 teaspoon it would have really coated and just made unappealing. Did you know the berries of sumac are considered as natural diuretic foods, hence they are used to treat many bowel related problems or for reducing fever. In Middle East, sumac berries are used to make a sour drink, that helps in getting rid of an upset stomach. Aids in digestion and has Antioxidant effects.

Enjoyed very much. I ordered sumac on my last spice order recently and when I saw you'r posted recipe I had to try it out. Only made 2 eggs and sprinkled a good pinch of sumac, as I wasn't sure if it would agree with my taste buds. Next time I will add more. Thanks, Nasseh, for posting.

Very Good. Sumac is a new ingredient for me, and this was a nice, easy way to taste it. It really added a different flavor to my traditional fried eggs. Made for ZWT7- Emerald City Shakers

I replaced a small amount (about 1/4 teaspoon per egg) of the olive oil with butter. The amount of sumac was also reduced a little. Served with Pomegranate Raita, fresh orange slices and strawberries and corn tortillas to scoop up the eggs. Fresh cilantro for garnish and color. Thanks for posting! Will make again very soon and have added the recipe to my cooking menu rotation. The eggs would be delicious served over raw or lightly wilted greens, especially arugula. Reviewed fro NA*ME tag.

This was good. I have never had sumac before but I will use again and maybe decrease a bit next time. Thanks for sharing. Super simple.

Great breakfast, this is my first time trying sumac but will be certainly trying it again. I just did the one egg for me and served it on a slice of toasted wholemeal/wholegrain bread. Thank you Nasseh, made for every day a holiday.

I had no idea this combination could be so good! A lot of sumac sitting in my cupboard and I was using it just for kebabs. I sprinkled generously. I'll make this again.

4 1/2 stars. This was really good as written. The first time I used Spanish Potato Omelet (Tortilla a la Espanola) as a base and used a bit less than 1/2 tbs sumac for DH and I it was tasty. The second time I followed the recipe and liked it a lot. Made for Ramadan Tag.

Yum! I love sumac, and had never thought of putting it on eggs! This was a great flavour combination! I didn't measure any thing, I just added what I thought looked good. Lol I will make this again and again!

These are nice. I probably under-seasoned the eggs, given my lack of familiarity with sumac, but I liked it. Next time I will use more.
