- 12 large squash blossoms, washed and drained
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne
- 1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- Combine eggs, flour, water and seasonings to make batter.
- Dip blossoms in batter until well coated, then fry in hot fat (375 degrees) until golden brown
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve warm.
