It's an Arabian delight in this part of the world. Enjoyed by Indians as well as people of other nationalities.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 (170 g) cans Nestle cream, cooked
  • 12 slices qatayef
  • 6 cups frying oil
  • 3 cups syrup
  • 12 cup ground pistachios, for garnishing
  • Syrup

  • 2 12 cups sugar
  • 1 12 cups water
  • Nestle cooked cream

  • 3 cups prepared Nido milk
  • 14 cup sifted plain flour

Directions

  1. Add cooked Nestle cream to Qatayef slices.
  2. Wrap Qatayef slices and seal firmly.
  3. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  4. Place in syrup while hot.
  5. Garnish with pistachios.

  7. Mix sugar in water and heat moderately without stirring.
  8. Increase the heat until mixture boils.
  9. When it boils, add a tsp of lemon juice.
  10. Allow mixture to boil slowly until it thickens.
  11. Add a tsp of rose and orange rose water.
  12. Keep mixture on heat for a few minutes.
  13. Allow to cool.
  14. -------Nestlecooked cream----------.
  15. Mix Nido milk with flour.
  16. Place mixture on medium heat while stirring.
  17. When it boils, simmer for 5 minutes.
  18. ,pour into a separate dish and allow to cool.
  19. Mix Nestle cream with prepared mixture to make ready to use.

You should also try to fill it with dates only. & fry it & add syrup. it is much better.
