Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, cayenne, and herbs.
  2. Dampen tomato slices with soymilk.
  3. Coat with flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil to medium in a heavy, nonstick frying pan.
  5. Fry tomatoes, turning once or twice, until golden brown.
  6. Remove tomatoes to serving platter.
  7. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  8. To bits of browned flour in pan, add 1/2 cup milk.
  9. Cook and stir until a gravy is formed.
  10. Pour over tomatoes.
  11. Serve immediately.
