This is a spinoff of Giada De Laurentiis' recipe "Vegetable Fritto Misto. She used four kinds of vegetables. I decided just to use one. These taste a bit like peanuts.

  1. Drain and rinse beans. Heat oil to 375 degrees F. Mix flour, salt and both peppers. Dredge beans in flour mixture. Fry for 1 to 3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

I made a mistake frying these on the stove instead of the deep fryer, they kept exploding on me! I also made a mistake with the cayenne pepper.....I thought it might be too much so I cut it down some......the beans seemed a little bland. Otherwise, they were good. If I make them again I will definetely use more cayenne. Made for Best of 2012 cooking game.

I made these for Super Bowl Sunday, and they were quick and easy to make. Very many snacks, you just can't seem to stop eating them. But unlike other snacks, you don't feel quite as guilty for indulging. Thanks for sharing!

Surprising how good these were-really good! I lightly garnished the beans
with feta and fresh cilantro to accompany a Mediterranean-Middle Eastern meal.
Will make again very soon! Versatile recipe, too! Thanks for posting!
