      Finely chop the onion. Brown it in the butter. Break fresh eggs over them. Sprinkle with salt. Fry.

      How can you go wrong marring fried onions and eggs, mmm. Served on a bun as an open face sandwich for a tasty lunch. Made with only one small change used Pam cooking spray instead of butter. Watching the cholesterol. Thanks for the post.

      Sweet&Savory variation equals perfect for one! I used extra virgin olive oil. 1/8 yellow onion and 2 large eggs for me, let the onions get well done. Salted eggs. Put on a sourdough English muffin, well toasted, with a little butter and generous Polaner jam-Grape is my favorite right now. One pan to clean and what a fantastic blend of flavors!

      Fried onions make everything taste better. I let my onions lightly carmelize and before adding the eggs. Delicious over toast! Thanx for sharing.
