This my interpretation of a Christmas classic

Directions

  1. Spread chestnuts as evenly as you can in a frying pan (or if you wish a cauldron with 1/2 cup of water).
  2. Put the butter into the pan (or cauldron) and roast the chestnuts as evenly as you can. This takes about 12-18 minutes, depending on the size of the chestnuts.
  3. After roasting cool to room temperature and eat/serve.
