- 8 apples, peeled,cored and sliced
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon clove
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- Melt butter in saucepan and add remainder of ingredients.
- Simmer until apples are tender about 20-25 minutes .
I made this recipe and used it for a topping on pancakes.My family inhaled all of it.Terrific recipe.
Served over vanilla ice cream...MMMM! nuff said.
