A friend had given me some fresh peaches and they needed to be used fast. I really enjoyed the ease of prepartion in this dish. I used pecans for the walnuts. It was more like a cake than a cobbler and definately warm is the way to go with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. :yummy:

All of the above comments are true. Looks more like a cake than a cobbler and there is alot of dough. I used ICBINB Spray instead of melted marjarine on top. It was handier than just melting 1 TAB of butter.

I used fresh peaches from the farmer's market, peeled, and walnuts. The cake is a bit doughy and DH thought the cake was a bit dry, but I thought that made it perfect for adding vanilla ice cream. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

We made this for 6 friends this weekend and ALL loved it. And a couple of the couples are always dieting and always share desserts, but this time, they all ate their own piece. It's more cake-y than cobbler-y, so if you like the breaded part of cobbler, this is for you. Easy to make too. I used walnuts, btw.

Very yummy! I took this to work and made about 10 copies of the recipe. Has a wonderful light texture and just delicious. I think it tastes the best when it is warm.

Cake or Cobbler? Whatever, this is yummy. I used nectarines as they looked better today in the market, and pecans. Simple to assemble, too. Thanks for posting !
