Delicious and simple. I had figs from our produce delivery and I'm normally not a huge fan, but this was so good. I used a boboli thin crust, and I did have the cranberry goat cheese. I thought it might be too sweet but the rosemary and the onions balanced it. So yummy!
Yummy! My three year old enjoyed the flavors and the proscuitto. My husband ate over half the pizza. *whispering* It was so good I burned my mouth on a fig from just out of the oven. Being greedy, yet satisfied. I added proscuitto and dried cranberries as mentioned by others in reviews. I will be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!
Delicious! Made with dried figs, and added spinach for a little health kick. We will definitely make it again - my toddler also loved it!
We really enjoyed this! To lighten it up a bit, I used portabello mushrooms as little crusts--the rest was as the recipe indicated. Since I couldn't find cranberry goat cheese, I soaked several dried cranberries in water, then minced them. Delicious@
Excellent! I made this three times in the last month due to the abundance of figs from my tree. I don't make my own crust however. I purchase a blank "Grandma style" pizza crust from my local pizzeria and then proceed with the recipe ingredients. My only change is the addition of ground rosemary instead of chopped leaves. I bake it directly on the oven rack at 450 for about 7 minutes. It comes out crispy and perfect each time. <br/>I did try it with a blueberry and vanilla goat cheese but the vanilla took away from the overall flavor. The combo of goat cheese, caramelized onion, rosemary, mozzarella and fig is just perfect as it is!
This was really really good! I added proscuitto to offset the sweetness of the onions and figs and everyone loved it. I grilled it to give it that charcoal flavor as well. My son loves the sweetness of the figs. I will have to figure out another alternative since figs have such a short season. Thanks for the great recipe!
This was tasty and delicious with a whole-wheat crust. I sliced the figs instead of halving them, and used much more onion than the recipe called for (1 large instead of 1 small onion). I think that was a good move.
We loved this! A great variation of the old pizza theme:) The goat cheese and figs complemented eachother nicely. Made it with a thin crust, and personally I think this pizza was way better than a traditional American one. Thanks for the recipe.
This was good, but was not as tasty as I was hoping. I think I will try it one more time during fig season but tweak the recipe a bit. It seemed that everything was on the sweet side (maui onions, handcrafted soft goat milk cheese, super ripe figs) and therefore it didn't have a depth of flavor. Maybe if I'd had the cranberries, or maybe some balsamic? Perhaps some feta instead of the goat cheese which is wonderful, but not salty. Not sure. It might have been my particular ingredients which were perhaps not the quite same as what everyone else has been using.
This was a wonderful pizza! I made it for a small party I had this summer. I was looking for recipes to use up the figs from our huge tree and this was perfect. Something different and savory. Loved the combo of sweet and salty. The sauted onions were definitely key. Thanks so much Rita!
