French-Toasted Ham Sandwiches

"This is not my recipe but, in my many quests for a good sandwich, I happened to stumble across this one on the internet. I in no way take credit for this delicious sandwich. ingredients

• 12 slice firm white bread or 12 slice rye bread
• prepared mustard
• 6 slice cooked ham
• 6 slice cooked chicken or 6 slice turkey
• 6 slice swiss cheese or 6 slice American cheese
• 2 eggs, slightly beaten
• 118.29 ml milk
• 1.23 ml salt
• black pepper, to taste
• 44.37 ml butter

directions

1. Spread each slice of bread with mustard.
2. Make 6 sandwiches using one slice each of ham, cheese, and chicken.
3. Combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
4. Melt butter in a skillet over low heat.
5. Dip sandwiches in the milk-egg mixture, turning to coat each side.
6. Brown in skillet on both sides.
