- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- 4 slices bread
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 2 slices cooked ham
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Spread each slice of bread with butter and mustard; place a slice of swiss cheese on each.
- Use the bread to make two sandwiches; place a slice of ham between each two slices.
- Beat the egg and milk together; dip the sandwiches in the egg mixture. Brown sandwiches on both sides in a lightly buttered frying pan.
