I used red wine vinegar and whirled all the ingredients in my mini food processor. This was a perfect dressing for Spinach and Orange Salad (recipe #136711). The tang of the dressing balanced well with the natural sweetness of the oranges in the salad. I like that it wasn't as sweet as many commercial salads. It was a refreshing change.
This is a lovely, tangy french dressing - just what I was looking for. A lot of the french dressing recipes on zaar contain more sugar and some sort of tomato product whereas this recipe seems to me to be more authentic. I used red wine vinegar and made the recipe as written....very tasty indeed for little effort and it's great on salads.
