French Cosmopolitan With Mandarin Orange

"I was first introduced to a French Cosmo with Absolut Mandarin at a restaraunt/bar in Asheville, North Carolina. Don't remember the name of the place but it was run by a Black lady who could sing just like Billie Holiday. Food there was Gourman!"

• Serves: 1

ingredients

• 28.34 g vodka (Absolut Mandarin-a must!)
• 14.17 g Grand Marnier
• 14.17 g prepared sweet-and-sour mix
• 14.17 g cranberry juice
• 7.08 g lime juice
• 0.06 ml grenadine

• For the Sweet and Sour Mix

• 236.59 ml sugar
• 236.59 ml fresh lime juice
• 236.59 ml fresh lemon juice
• 236.59 ml water

directions

1. Put the first 5 ingredients, excluding Grenadine, into a shaker, then shake well and strain into a well chilled martini glass.
2. Last, slowly pour a drop of Grenadine into middle of glass and let fall to bottom and color the stem red.
3. Garnish with Lime Wheel or a Lemon Twist.

4. For the Sweet and Sour Mix:

5. Combine sugar and water until all the sugar is dissolved. Add lemon and lime juices and refrigerate.
