  • Roll out pastry and line flan 8" dish.
  • spread jam over pastry.
  • cream butter and sugar.
  • add eggs a little at a time.
  • beat in almonds and extract.
  • spread mixture over jam
  • roll out remaining pastry into strips and place over mixture.
  • bake 40-45 min at 190 degrees (375 farenheit).

I love trying all different types of cuisines. my favorites right now are indian, mexican, and japanese :) I'm currently a student so I try to find recipes that I can tweak in order to make smaller portions. I don't like eating the same thing more than once a week and I hate wasting food so this becomes a very creative process ( and not enough freezer space!)
