This is a to die for, once in a lifetime pie, and everyone who has it, loves it; however, the topping is : 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup shortening, salt, 3 tablespoons honey, and 3/4 cup flour. This calls for a single crust pie crust, as well. Figured I'd clear that up, because the original recipe required contacting the cook! Thanks for posting it, otherwise, it's identical to the original, just "unclear" as it was to me the first time I made it myself! Whoever tries it?? YOU'RE GONNA LOVE THIS! And you'll compare every other strawberry rhubarb pie you ever eat to this one. It's the ultimate.

  1. Preheat oven 425°F.
  2. Whisk eggs in large bowl.
  3. Whisk sugar, flour until smooth; set aside.
  4. Cut rhubarb, fold into egg mixture.
  5. Put in pie shell.
  6. Bake 15 minutes, remove and reduce heat to 350°F.
  7. Apply topping and bake for 40 minutes.
