WOW thats all I can say.. easy fast WONDERFUL great flavor & texture.. I've had a baguette pan for 29 years( my mom in law was from France & went to visit family there and brought me a pan back with her..I believe it had been her mom's) I never until today used it (shame on me) My mom in law would of LOVED this bread..God rest her soul my bread turned out so good hope she is smiling down on me from heaven for FINALLY using her gift now that I have this recipe I have a feeling this pan will be getting a workout.. of & don't be alarmed if your dough is sticky..I found that by putting some flour on a dinner plate and putting my hands in it(between my fingers too) made it a snap to shape GREAT recipe!!!!
This was such a success !! I was so nervous doing it as I am not an experienced breadmaker but it was easy and worked out so well - great recipe and great instructions - thanks momaphet
My first time using a food processor for anything! This simple recipe turned out very nice, both in presentation and flavor. Thank you!
The recipe is so easy it gets 5 stars for that alone, because it reduces time so much in comparison to the old mix and knead method of other bread recipes. And the texture is right on, perfectly cooked throughout. The taste was only OK for us though. But it's such an easy recipe to work with, so I'd definitely make this again. I'd like to try the recipe again, making dinner rolls. Thanks for sharing your recipe, momaphet. Made for Culinary Quest 2015 (Canada/ Quebec).
I have to say I was skeptical all the way until about 10 minutes before it was done. The dough seemed sticky and there wasn't any rolling it out, just formed and = Beautiful bread I took the advice and brushed it with butter when it only had 5 minutes of baking time remaining. So good. This one is a keeper. I also made the other one an herbal one. Thank you for posting.
Ok. I haven't baked bread since I was an ankel biter and all I did then was play with the dough my grandma and dad gave me but I was determined to find a recipe and give it the old college try and boy am I glad I found this one!!! Not only was it super easy to make it was beyond delicious. The only change or rather addition I did was brush the tops with rosemary and melted butter and the second batch I did I used the leftover roasted garlic and rosemary butter from the previous nights dinner. The house smells AMAZING!!!!! This is now my go to recipe whenever we want french rolls !
Quick, easy, tasty & flexible. This first batch is being made into a few cinnamon rolls, which were quite tasty. The other 2/3 will be used for pizza and skillet quick bread. I got rid of a finicky bread maker and have never looked back.
This bread was great! I used it to make poboys, and it held up well. I found that the loaves were entirely done cooking after 10 minutes, when I went to turn the temperature down. For ZWT9.
I love recipes like this, ones that make yeast bread completely approachable to the average cook :). This marked the first use of the dough feature on my Ninja blender, and it worked out great even though I had to add all the water at once as there is no "add while processing" feature. I used all white wheat flour, and my crew gobbled it up faster than I could say "eat your vegetables first" LOL. Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT 9, Gourmet Goddesses.
I must have done something wrong, it tasted good but didn't have the french bread texture but the crust was really good.
