  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup water, cold
  • 1 (3 ounce) package potato pancake mix
  • 14 cup matzo meal
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Directions

  1. Beat egg with fork; blend in the water.
  2. Add remaining ingredients; stir and allow it to thicken for 10 minutes.
  3. Form into balls the size of a walnut.
  4. Drop into a large pot of rapidly boiling salted water.
  5. Cover tightly and reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Drain and serve in soup, stew or as a side dish with meat and poultry.
