While the recipe is good, the information is incorrect. There is a myth surrounding this recipe stating that it's the original, which is untrue. Simeon O. Brayan developed the original recipe in 1919 and it's still made and sold by Abbott's Meats in Flint, whom he contracted with. Thank you, Chef Larz!!! I had lost the recipe during a move and was thrilled to find it here - this is the original recipe first published in "The Flint Journal" long ago and is the BEST!!! The meat sauce also freezes well; use some tomato juice to remoisten after defrosting if needed. Thanks again!!!!!
