  1. I tried three times and it didn't turn out any of the three. I kept changing it thinking I was doing something wrong and I am giving up. Sorry

  2. I made this exactly as written. It is a nice bread; not heavy at all. Equally good for sandwiches or just toasted with butter. UPDATE: I just wanted to add that I keep coming back to this recipe often. My kids LOVE this toasted with butter for breakfast, and I enjoy it with meals or as a snack dipped in some olive oil. This is really a wonderful and healthy bread.

  3. I followed the recipe exactly, except I substituted one tablespoon of sunflower seeds for one tablespoon of pine nuts (chopped), but the bread turned out way too "doughy". I could taste the dough for some reason, and I can't imagine it would be due to the pine nuts. Too bad, I was really expecting to like this.

  4. Great. I ground the flax seeds and poppy seeds a bit to make it more digestable. I used all whole wheat flour and the dough enhancer (recipe #89744 but I leave out the ginger).

  5. This is a fab and easy bread, pretty healthy too. I added a touch more flour when it was kneeding and also used half and half white and wholemeal flour. I've also played around with the seeds and just used what I have in the cupboard. It rises fantastically well, you do have to keep an eye on it so that it doesn't hit the top of the bread machine and collapse

  2. This stuff is incredible! I used 2 cups white bread flour, one wheat bread machine flour, and instead of the sunflower seeds (didn't have them) I used caraway seeds (we love 'em). Then, I ran this on the dough cycle and made it into 8 hamburger rolls (which we had with my better-for-you burgers). Talk about incredible. This bread is incredibly good!

  3. This bread was wonderful. Because I was using all whole wheat flour, I substituted 2 TBSP of gluten for 2 TBSP of flour, but otherwise loaded the machine as indicated, and the end result was a moist, high loaf. Also, I used SHELLED flax seed, a process which allows the the body to digest flax, which provides an excellent source of Omega-3.
