  1. Heat up your waffle iron.
  2. Mix dry ingredients.
  3. blend in wet ingredients.
  4. Pour about 3/4 cup (depending on your waffle iron) onto iron & cook according to manufacturer's directions.
  5. I also usually add chocolate chips.

This is the absolute best waffle recipe of all time. I use 1 and 1/4 cup whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup flax meal. The waffles turn out crispy, flavorful and dont' get soggy under the maple syrup and fruit we heap on. This is our new Sunday tradition for about 4 months now and its by far the best waffle I've tasted. (and I am a waffleholic)

These are the best healthy waffles I've ever had. I was worried because the batter ended up really runny, but they turned out perfectly. A little sugar and butter instead of vegetable oil would have made it 5 stars, but way less healthy.

I double the recipe using 1 -1/4 cup whole milk, 2 cups van Soy milk instead of 4 cups of milk. Added a splash of vanilla and two table spoons of sugar. Replaced veg oil with 1/2 cup of melted butter. Now they are The best waffles ever.
