Flavored butters for corn on the cob. This came from Birds Eye Fresh Ideas For Vegetables. 2 tablespoons is suggested for 1 (16oz) package of vegetables. I have not tried these, just posting for safe keeping.

  1. Lemon Basil: Combine melted butter, lemon juice and dried basil.
  2. Mustard: Combine melted butter, prepared mustard, sugar, and salt; whip well.
  3. Garlic: Combine melted butter, minced garlic and pepper.
  4. Horseradish: Combine melted butter and prepared horseradish.
  5. Parsley: Combine melted butter and chopped parsley.
  6. Cheesy Basil: Combine melted butter, Parmesan cheese and basil; brush on just before serving.
  7. Southwestern: Combine melted butter, lime juice and chili powder; brush on just before serving.
  8. Lemon Honey: Combine melted butter, honey and lemon juice; brush on just before serving.

I made the southwest version of this, and it had great flavoring and tasted great on some corn last night. Will try some of the other versions too, this sounds great on toast too. Made for I Recommend.

I made the garlic butter. I was concerned that there might be a raw garlic taste but it was not a problem. I put the cold butter and all the other ingredients together and then warmed them in the microwave until melted. We had it on sweet corn. Yum.
