Flaky Deli Slices

"A great twist on the sandwich. This is also an easy to assemble & quick treat to bring to an office gathering, babyshower, or to prepare for brunch. Ham, pepperoni, Parmesan cheese and cheddar wrapped up in a flaky pastry crust and sliced! Yum!"

  1. Easy and tasty! I added a little pizza sauce and Paul Prudhomme's Pasta and Pizza Shake. It baked up perfectly! It was VERY rich, but serving it with a salad made for a great dinner. Thnx for sharing your recipe, Dawn. Made for KcK's Forum.

  2. This was pretty good. I pre-heated my cookie sheet before I loaded it up. Had no problems with raw dough.

  3. I tried the recipe tonight for a small friendly gathering and I guess I just didn't bake it enough, although the dough was not baked in the center the outside was way overd done. It would have been GREAT otherwise! If anyone has comments on how to get the center cooked at the same rate as the outside, I'd love to try it again!

  4. Made this to eat while watching football. We all loved the combination of the filling but thought the pie crust was too rich. I think I'll try the filling ingredients on refrigerated roll out pizza dough. Thanks for a yummy idea.

  5. What a speedy and tasty treat! I sprinkled the unrolled pie crust with Penzeys "sandwich sprinkle before layering the ingredients. I added some very thinly sliced onion pieces on top of the cheddar. After rolling I sprinkled the top with more sandwich sprinkle and some more shredded parmesan and cheddar. It was absolutely fantastic! My center was cooked through perfectly, but I did not put alot of filling in either. I will prepare this again and again as it took all of maybe 5 minures to get in the oven. I will make sure refrigerated pie crusts are stocked in my fridge at all times!

I?m ?originally from Texas, but now live in Florida. Still gotta have that spice though....love chipotle peppers, habaneros, and jalapenos. This is a picture of myself & my 2 daughters taken in Dec'06. I am working on my graduate degree, & still work as a nurse prn. When I'm not cooking and eating what I cook... I head for the gym to work out. As far as cookbooks, I love the church/ community cookbooks, where someone has dug out old handwritten recipes by granny and shared them with others-those are the best kind. If I had a month off, I'd for sure go hiking, would love to visit Australia and New Zealand.?
