My mom and grandmother used to make this salad. I was very glad to see it posted. I made it the other day for a church event. A very beautiful array of colors and textures. A delicious, sweet, creamy taste. Easy and a crowd pleaser. Thanks BarbaraK.

Loved this. Comfort food from days gone by. Very easy to make.
I make it ahead of time and add the toasted pecans and marshmallows shortly before serving.

Great recipe! I toasted the pecans and added them to each serving as others suggested. I didn't add coconut since I'm the only one that likes it, but I added a couple of bananas. My very picky 11 year old granddaughter helped make it, and she turned her nose up at the sour cream, but even she really enjoyed this recipe. Thanks!
