Had this for lunch made mini-style with individual kaiser rolls instead of the large round loaf. Really liked the idea and make-ahead convenience. Very reminiscent of a mufaletta. Next time I'll opt for some other toppings. Maybe some onions and spinach or parsley and a little dressing. It was a tad dry but easily fixed when unwrapped. Taking part of the bread out of the inside was great. More sandwich! lol Made for Daffy Daffodils ZWT4

This was really yummy. I made it just as directed and it turned out great. Made for a great lunch! Made for ZWT4 for the Tastebud Tickling Travellers.

I baked Seeded Whole Wheat Buttermilk Bread (Bread Machine) in a loose round to use in this sandwich. As there were only two of us I did have to adapt the instructions somewhat. I used a mixture of sliced meats; smoked ham & turkey, and two cheeses; provolone & pepper jack. This is a great idea for a "travel" sandwich. Made for ZWT4.

This was good, I found a nice round loaf of bread and it was very good. I think there might have been a little too much meat and cheese on this sandwich. I also added cucumbers and tomatoes, just couldn't resist. Nice recipe. Made for ZWT4

I put it down as 4 stars, because I made some changes, that I'm sure took away from the full flavor. Made this last night in preparation for game time today - it was super easy! Got home from church, pulled it out of the fridge, cut it up and it was chow time! I think next time I'll cut a bit more off the bread lid though -it was a bit hard to get in the mouth. :) Thanks for posting!

This should be called the fat fisherman! I couldn't find a round loaf so I used foccatia. I also made an olive tapenade, which went really well with the bread. This is on my list to make again. I froze the leftovers since there was no vegies to get soggy. Thanks for the recipe!
