Fish steamed in Banana leaves

  1. Add the chilli powder, turmeric, salt, sugar, mustard oil and green chillies to the fillets.
  2. Mix well to coat evenly.
  3. (Don't be afraid to use your hands.) Marinate fish for 20-30 mins.
  4. Now add the ground mustard and immediately wrap each fillet with a little extra marinade on top into individual pouches with the banana leaf.
  5. Steam for 20 mins in a steamer.
  6. Enjoy.

Good! Was not really sure about the mustard, but it did give the fish a very good flavour. DH loved it, but I think it needs something more to give it that edge... will try a couple of things & let you know how it goes.

I`m giving this 5 stars because it was fun and different and tasty! I cut the recipe down to make for 2. I didn`t have any mustard oil so I used olive oil. Next time will steam for 15 minutes.
